Microsoft cloud move for a growing office
A staged Microsoft cloud move for a growing office that needed cleaner email, files, identity, and device practices.
The business had reached the point where informal IT practices were holding it back. Email, shared files, device access, and administrator responsibilities had grown organically, which made day-to-day support harder than it needed to be.
The Challenge
The immediate need was a controlled move into Microsoft 365 without turning the project into a disruptive changeover. Staff still needed to work, email still needed to flow, and files needed a structure that would make sense after migration.
Security also had to be improved during the move. MFA, admin access, external sharing, and device expectations were treated as part of the migration rather than a separate job for later.
What Centrix Delivered
Centrix mapped the existing environment, identified the important mailboxes and file locations, and produced a staged migration plan. The work included sign-in controls, shared mailbox planning, file structure decisions, and a review of administrator roles.
The migration approach kept the project practical. The business received clear steps, support expectations, and documentation so the new setup could be understood after handover.
Outcome
The business moved to a cleaner Microsoft environment with stronger sign-in controls and a more manageable file structure. The project also created a realistic next-step roadmap for Intune, Defender, and ongoing Microsoft 365 governance.
