Anthropic and KPMG have announced a global strategic alliance that will make Claude available to more than 276,000 KPMG employees and bring Claude-powered tools into KPMG’s Digital Gateway platform.
The announcement focuses on tax and legal tools, co-developed offerings for private equity portfolio companies, cybersecurity work to find and fix vulnerabilities, and use of KPMG’s Trusted AI framework to guide deployment.
Why It Matters
This is another sign that AI adoption in professional services is moving from standalone chat tools into governed workflow platforms. The governance detail matters because firms such as KPMG work with regulated, sensitive, and high-accuracy client data.
For smaller businesses, the lesson is similar at a different scale: AI should be connected to well-defined workflows, permissions, review steps, and approved data sources rather than introduced informally across every team.
